Head of Investigations, UNESCO

Cedric Bourgeois is the Head of Investigations at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO. His work at UNESCO aims at strengthening accountability and integrity through internal investigations. Mr Bourgeois started his law enforcement and regulation career in 2007 with the Paris District Attorneys office as a special assistant, where he contributed to foreign corruption investigations as well as embezzlement and bank fraud cases. He than joined the financial regulator AMF (Autorite des marches financiers) where he conducted investigations focusing on insider trading and financial misstatements. He was than appointed Head of investigations at the French Data Privacy Authority in Paris (CNIL Commission Nationale de l Informatique et des Libertes). Mr Bourgeois graduated from ESCP Europe Business School and Lille Law University. He is a certified accountant, holds the CCEP-I and CFE certifications and was admitted to the Paris bar.
