Shireen K. Gandhi

Shireen K. Gandhi was appointed Chief Compliance Officer at the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) in 2017. Ms. Gandhi serves as a member of the executive team at DHS. The Compliance Office is comprised of Internal Audits; Management and Policy, which includes Ethics Officer, Risk Management Director, Agency-wide Policy Coordinator, and Continuity Director; Contracts and Legal Compliance; and Appeals, which includes Human Service Judges who provide fair hearings on agency decisions. Prior to joining DHS, Ms. Gandhi was a co-founding partner of boutique law firm focusing on health law and health care compliance. She also previously served as a health care association executive and as public affairs consultant to associations and health systems. Ms. Gandhi earned a B.A. from the University of Minnesota and her law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota. In addition to being a licensed attorney, Ms. Gandhi is a Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) and is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
