Jo Ling Kent is an award-winning journalist and CBS News senior business and tech correspondent, reporting across all platforms. Previously, Jo Ling served as business and tech correspondent at NBC News, appearing on the TODAY show, NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and MSNBC for six years. She led NBC News' investigations into Amazon and Facebook, the pandemic unemployment crisis, and interviewed numerous CEOs/founders and government leaders. Her reporting won an Edward R. Murrow Award and earned three Emmy nominations. Previously, Jo Ling was correspondent and podcast host at Fox Business Network and investigative reporter at NBC Connecticut, where she was a member of the team awarded a Peabody for coverage of the Sandy Hook school shooting. She covered the 2012 presidential race as a NBC News campaign embed reporter and spent five years in China as a U.S. Fulbright fellow and a Beijing-based journalist for ABC News and CNN. Jo Ling graduated from Rice University and earned two master’s degrees from the London School of Economics (LSE) and Peking University. She lives in LA with her family and is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association.
