Eric Seassaud is specialised in (i) major industrial and construction projects (project finance, construction contracts, operation and maintenance agreements, joint ventures, consortia, shareholders agreement, security package, export finance ); (ii) international arbitration; (iii) contracts and claims management; and (iv) ethics & compliance. He is the General Counsel and Chief Contracts Officer and Ethics Officer of Vinci Construction Grands Projets. Previously, he was (i) the Ethics & Compliance General Counsel of the Engie Group (2011-18); (ii) the Director of the Contracts Management & Arbitration Department of Suez - formerly Degrmont-Suez Environment (2009-2011); and (iii) the Deputy General Counsel of Suez (2003-2009). He was called to the Paris Bar in 1997 and began his career in private practice. As regards professional societies, he is (i) the Vice-President of the French Association of Contract Management (AFCM); and (ii) the Chairman of the AFNOR French Technical Committee Governance of Organisations - TC 309. As regards his academic activities, he is: (i) a co-founder and lecturer at the University of Paris II Assas, for the postgraduate diploma in Contract Management; (ii) a co-founder and lecturer at the University of Paris I La Sorbonne, for the postgraduate diploma in Compliance and Governance of Organisations; (iii) a lecturer in the Master II International Criminal and Business Law (LLM); (iv) and a Lecturer at the University of Paris-Dauphine for the Certificate of Compliance. He holds a Ph.D. in Law, a post graduate specialised master in International Business Law & Management from the Paris School of Management (ESCP) and a postgraduate diploma in Public Business Law.
