Ellen C Smith

Ellen Smith is the CEO and Founder of Amalie Trade Compliance Consulting LLC, a boutique consulting company focused on helping multi-national clients mitigate risk and find opportunities through the management of import, export control, sanctions and antiboycott compliance. In 2020, building on a wealth of legal and operational experience, Ellen left a 20+ year in-house career to start Amalie. Four years later, Amalie has over twenty (20) consultants and global coverage bringing value to its clients through a “different kind of consulting”. Ellen has a J.D. from UIC-John Marshall in Chicago and a B.A. in International Policy and Political Science from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania.
