David Hackett is a Partner at Baker McKenzie based in Chicago, Illinois. Previously, David was a Trial With The Environmental Enforcement Section Attorney at U.S. Department of Justice. David received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Haverford College.
Mr. Hackett has considerable experience managing diverse international environmental legal projects, namely, air, water, solid and hazardous waste, toxic substances, climate and sustainability matters. He has extensive experience in counseling, negotiation and litigation on behalf of multinational clients regarding state, federal and foreign civil and criminal environmental matters.
Previously, he served as the Managing Partner of the North American Region of Baker & McKenzie and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee. He also was the Managing Partner of the Chicago office, on the Firm’s Finance Committee, and started and managed the Firm’s international environmental practice.
