Amy is a Director of Product Environmental Compliance at Emerson Electric, a leading global industrial automation company. She spearheaded the development of their governance and oversight program to ensure products meet all regulatory requirements associated with the design, materials, and end-of-life management. She connects and aligns the product, sustainability, technology, and compliance teams to ensure a common understanding of the laws driving the world to a more circular economy. Amy has experience across the entire product value chain in her 30-year industrial and systems engineering career. She managed numerous development programs for new commercial and medical products, manufacturing equipment, and assembly line design and optimization. She has extensive hands-on experience working high- and low-volume production lines, including implementing lean manufacturing principles. She led initiatives to understand supply chain complexity, supplier capability, and managing risk. She formulated materials strategies, including selection, substitution, and compliance management, to best address regulations restricting the use of certain hazardous substances. She has helped product teams transition to eco-friendly and sustainable materials over the past 15 years. She is committed to helping Emerson attain its sustainability targets and is excited to share their progress. Amy holds a B.S. degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University.
